An M6.4 earthquake with a focal depth of 20 km struck 12 km west-southwest of Mamurras, Albania, and 30 km west of Tirana, at 2:54 UTC on November 26. The largest earthquake in Albania in decades, the M6.4 quake has led to at least 16 deaths, hundreds of injuries, and the collapse of several buildings. This temblor has been followed by a series of aftershocks, the largest of which was recorded by local monitors in Bosnia as an M5.4.
