An M5.5 earthquake with a focal depth of 10 km struck 7 km north-northwest of Flórina, Greece, at 21:43 UTC (11:43 p.m. local time) on January 9, according to USGS.
No casualties have been reported. Damage to some older buildings has been reported, and schools in the affected area are closed today. Officials may temporarily shut down transportation in the area to check for damage.
