A hurricane warning is in effect for the western provinces of Cuba and a hurricane watch has been issued for the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Hurricane Isidore is moving toward the west-northwest at about 8 mph (13 kph) and the center is expected to pass over far western Cuba later today.
