ALERT™ subscribers can download similar stochastic event (SSE) IDs for Hurricane Nicole from the Downloads tab of this posting on the ALERT website. Compatible with Touchstone® and Touchstone Re™, the SSEs were selected based on Nicole’s key meteorological parameters and its current forecast. They should only be used with exposures in Florida.
Nicole is currently transitioning into a tropical storm and has begun to strengthen. Nicole is forecast to intensify just to hurricane status by Wednesday as it moves near the northwestern Bahamas and then approaches the coast of Florida Wednesday night.
Assuming the forecast continues to show a landfall in the U.S. at hurricane strength, the Verisk ALERT team will continue to release similar stochastic events each morning (EST) through landfall.
