Typhoon Doksuri made landfall on the southeastern coast of China near Jinjiang City of Fujian Province around 10 AM local time on Friday, July 28. Doksuri had sustained winds of 175 kmh (~110 mph) at the time of landfall. Doksuri has since moved inland to the northwest over China. Across the region, schools and businesses were reported closed on Friday, and over 400,000 people were reported to have evacuated in Fujian Province. Damage was reported as result of strong winds, and over 500,000 homes lost power in Fujian Province.
