Typhoon Gaemi made landfall Thursday morning in Taiwan, after making a loop along the mountainous coast of the island nation just prior.
ALERT™ subscribers can download similar stochastic event (SSE) IDs for Typhoon Gaemi’s impacts in Taiwan from the Downloads tab of this posting on the ALERT website. Compatible with Touchstone® and Touchstone Re™, the SSEs were selected based on the event’s track, minimum central pressure, estimated winds, forward speed, and landfall angle. They should only be used with exposures in Taiwan.
The Verisk ALERT team will provide an update on impacts from Gaemi in Taiwan on Friday, July 26, morning Taipei/China standard time. If Gaemi makes landfall in mainland China at Typhoon strength on Thursday, we will release similar stochastic events for those impacts on Friday morning as well.
