ALERT™ subscribers can download similar stochastic event (SSE) IDs for Cyclone Alfred’s impacts in Australia from the Downloads tab of this posting on the ALERT website. Compatible with Touchstone® and Touchstone Re™, the SSEs were selected based on the event’s track, minimum central pressure, estimated winds, forward speed, and landfall angle. They should only be used with exposures in Australia.
Given uncertainty in the eventual rainfall totals and resulting flood impacts from Alfred, additional ALERT postings may be required to update our view of this event. We will continue to monitor impacts and provide an update by Tuesday, March 11 as to any next steps. In the meantime, please contact your Verisk representative with any questions.
