As of 8:00 AM AST Friday morning, Ernesto was located about 255 miles south-southwest of Bermuda, with estimated maximum 1-minute sustained winds of 100 mph and a minimum central pressure of 968 mb. Ernesto is tracking north-northeast at 13 mph. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Bermuda, where conditions are expected to start to deteriorate later today. The Saffir-Simpson category 2 storm will bring high winds, dangerous storm surge, and as much as 15 inches of rain to Bermuda over the coming weekend.
