Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Carriacou island in Grenada as a Category 4 hurricane at 1110 AM AST on Monday July 1st. Data from Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter reconnaissance aircraft indicated maximum sustained winds were 150 mph, and the central pressure was 950 mb at that time. The impact of Hurricane Beryl was felt across the Windward Islands.
The Verisk ALERT Team is currently evaluating this event and plan to release Similar Stochastic Events for Beryl’s impact to the Windward Islands on the morning of Tuesday, July 2nd Eastern Time.
